Golfing

At just over 7,000 yards from the black back tees, Purple Sage's par-72, championship golf course tests your distance.  The five sets of tees keeps play comfortable for golfers of every skill and ensures a great place to play. The Purple Sage Golf course is located in Evanston, a 15 minute drive from the Diamond X Guest Ranch.

Shopping and Dining

Evanston has a unique and quaint downtown with a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.  There are two movie theaters, a bowling alley, and a recreation center.  Lists of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centers are available to guests.  Park City is just a 50 minute drive away, and is famous for its great shopping.

Community Events

We are part of a vibrant community and a great town.  The Evanston area has many interesting events throughout the year.  There is a rodeo series with a rodeo nearly every weekend in the summer.  Evanston's community celebration, Cowboy Days takes place over Labor Day, as well as the Mountain Man Rendezvous, a unique historical experience.  Both road biking and mountain biking races are held throughout the summer, as well.  See the city calendar for more events and more information.

Park City, Utah

Just a short 50 minute-drive away, you’ll find Park City, home to world-class downhill skiing, single-track alpine mountain biking, famous shopping and an historic downtown with fantastic art galleries and fine restaurants.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Salt Lake City is about an hour and a half drive away, with many great events and activities and shopping, as well.
